The Birmingham Food Festival takes place between the 13th and 19th July this year. If you love food you should definitely head to Birmingham to enjoy a slice of some of the events and offers that are laid on for the week.

Among the amazing deals that form part of the Birmingham Food Fest are a 2 for 1 meal at Bushwackers, half price kids’ meals at Thai Edge on Sundays and any two courses at Chamberlains Quality Fish and Chips for two people for just £20.12. As you might guess from the price, this is part of the campaign to get more out of England in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic Games. With deals this good it is sure to bring in the desired crowds.

There are all kinds of events going on during the week-long festival too. A great example of a popular event is the CBD Food Festival, which takes place on Friday 13th July between 11am and 7pm. In case you were wondering, the CBD stands for the Colmore Business District. Twenty venues in the area are taking part and offering sensational tasters of their menus, focusing on all kinds of foods from all around the world.

You can also head for the Birmingham Chilli Festival, the Edible Eastside Bread Making workshop, the City of 1000 Tastes Walking Tour or even the Children’s Cupcake Decorating Experience. As you can see there is something for every age and taste bud!
